Kendal Affiliates Named Senior Care's Best Places to Work and Live in 2024

The Kendal Corporation is proud to announce that five Kendal Affiliates have been honored as one of Senior Care’s Best Places to Work and Best Places to Live in 2024 by WeCare Connect. These recognitions reflect Kendal’s ongoing dedication to fostering positive and engaging environments for both older adult residents and employee teams.

Three Kendal Affiliates were listed as Senior Care’s Best Places to Work. Kendal at Home, which operates in Ohio, Kentucky and Massachusetts; Kendal at Ithaca in Ithaca, New York; and Kendal at Oberlin in Oberlin, Ohio, were ranked among the top employers in senior living and aging service providers in the U.S. and Canada. Two Affiliates – Barclay Friends in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and Kendal at Lexington in Lexington, Virginia – have been named Best Places to Live and are among the top senior living and aging services providers in the U.S. and Canada according to WeCare Connect.

WeCare Connect, a leading survey provider for senior care organizations, compiles rankings by gathering resident and employee data. Organizations are recognized for top performance based on key factors such as employee retention and resident satisfaction.

These Affiliates have been commended for their focus on fostering both professional and personal well-being of their staff while also providing outstanding support for residents throughout their aging journey.

“We are delighted and honored that several Kendal Affiliates have been acknowledged as some of the Best Places to Work, Live and Heal,” shared Vassar Byrd, CEO of The Kendal Corporation. “These categories reflect the very principles upon which Kendal was founded and continues to operate. Across the Kendal System, we are committed to supporting and serving the people who work and live in Kendal-affiliated communities.”

These honors underscores Kendal’s position as a recognized leader in senior living that prioritizes high-quality experiences for residents and enriching work environments for staff. This commitment translates to communities that encourage creativity, collaboration and lifelong learning, along with workplaces that foster professional development.
